Mandatory E-reporting

Type: Legislation

The Netherlands has implemented a new mandatory system for tax declaration in the CIT. In the past, tax reporting was possible online and free. Now however, the mandatory system requires E-recognition (“E-Herkenning”) software, run by a commercial partner. The new system triggers extra costs from taxpayers and has been implemented without waiting for the proper legislative procedures for implementation.

Effective date: 1 January 2020
