Bolivia e-invoicing SFE new participants

Bolivia’s National Tax Service (SIN) has mandated the use of the Sistema De Facturacion Electronica (SFE) for electronic invoicing as of December 1, 2021. Due to the COVID-19 situation, the SFE e-invoice roll out had been put on hold in May 2021. 4,000 companies sign up for the mandate to start using electronic invoices on February 1, 2023.

The following is a confirmed updating schedule of taxpayers enrolling in the Bolivian SFE e-invoicing or digital accounting regime:

  • 4th wave: April 2023
  • 3rd wave: February 2023
  • 2nd wave: December 2021
  • 1st wave: 2021

Effective date: 1 February 2023
