Tax reform package – The introduction of VAT on digital services

On January 29, 2020, the Senate approved the tax reform package. The approved tax reform package still needs to be analysed by the Constitutional Tribunal before being implemented as law. The tax reform package includes the introduction of VAT on digital services provided by non-resident platforms, to be effective within 3 months after the publication of the law introducing the tax reform package. 

Effective date: May 2020
