Real-time controls by tax authorities via e-invoicing

Israel is one of the countries that is trying to fight VAT fraud by implementing technical solutions to identify and follow business transactions. The Israeli government announced that they will are looking at the implementation of a Continuous Transaction Control (CTC) model. 

The proposed model is similar to the model used in Chile. It is based on a real-time interface between the tax authority and businesses for each transaction. The proposal is being reviewed and must still be approved by the Knesset Finance Committee.
